Our very good friends, Mark and Jill Luber, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Molly Catherine, on 10.13.08. She's a beauty. Congratulations!!

Brenna at 6 Weeks Old

Brenna is 6 weeks old and she's changed so much since she was born. She's went from 5 lbs 12 oz to 8 lbs 1 oz as of 9/30/08 and I think now she's probably closer to 9 lbs. Brenna has met a ton of family and friends this month and all-in-all, she's such a good baby.

Thinking back on these first few weeks though, all I can really say is We're SOOOO Tired! For some reason she really hates to lay flat on her back. She tosses and turns and grunts and sqeaks and wakes up every hour or so (if she'll fall asleep at all) while on her back so needless to say we haven't gotten much sleep at night. Although this past weekend we did discover that she will sleep soundly while in her car seat. So we've been letting her sleep at night in her car seat which converts into an infant swing while in the house. I'm not sure if it's the best thing for her but its the only way she'll sleep so we're going with it.

Brenna has been a little fussy the last few days - we think she must have a bit of colic because she just doesn't seem like she can get comfortable - especially at night time. Grammy came up the last few days to help while Grandpa Les is in Russia. She bought Brenna a mobile for her crib and she seems to love it as evidenced below.
