Brenna is 8 Months!

Brenna is 8 months old today. It's so hard to imagine what life was ever like without her. I guess our biggest update over the last week or so is that she is FINALLY sleeping better. She had been getting up 2 or 3 times at night and we needed to nip that in the bud. We decided that we needed to let her "cry it out" and while it was TERRIBLE to hear her cry and not go right in and get her, it really worked WONDERS!!! The first night she woke up around 2am and cried for 35 minutes and then finally fell asleep. Then she woke again around 4:30am and cried for 15 minutes, then right to sleep until 7am. The next night, she woke up once and cried for 15 minutes, then right back to sleep for the rest of the night. The third night was our miracle night where she didn't wake up at all (or if she did, she put herself right back to sleep) and she slept for almost 12 hours! It was wonderful!!! We're still working on it...she hasn't had another one of those 12 hour nights but we're still working on it.

At 8 months, Brenna weighs about 20 pounds. She has between 3-4 bottles a day and eats baby food 3 times a day as well.

Last weekend was Turtlefest at Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach. We met up with the playdate pals and got some cute pics out of the day.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Today we celebrated Easter with Mom, Dad, Jeff, Jackie, Ed, Joann, Ruth, Bobby and Nancy and our friends Kendall, Crafton and Ella Kate. We had a wonderful lunch and Brenna enjoyed getting so much attention along with being able to play with Ella Kate during the day. Here are a few pics from the day.







Since my last post, both Brett and I celebrated a birthday. Brett is now officially 28 while I turned 27. We had pretty low key birthdays this year which was fine with us. I was happy Schecky was down and I got to go to breakfast with her and dinner the following night.

Poor Brett has been working NON-STOP for the past month. He worked all day on his birthday (a Saturday no less). I'm talking non-stop, like he gets home by 9pm if I'm lucky. More times than a few, he's gotten home at 2am or even 4am only to get up and go back into work at 8am. I guess its a wonderful problem to have considering so many people are out of work these days, but I'll sure be glad when things slow down. I miss him a lot. Supposedly, his work schedule will slow down on April 15th and then he'll be able to take some time off here and there for some much needed R&R. We are dying to get up to Atlanta to meet our new nephew, Alex Parker Musson. Hopefully we'll get to see him in May.

Starting Tuesday, Brenna and I along with some of our playgroup pals will be taking a Mom & Tot swim class so check back next week for some cute pics :-)
